Felicity Heathcote-Márcz is a PhD researcher at Alliance Manchester Business School (University of Manchester). Felicity gives guest lectures on topics such as ‘Feminism and Inequality in the Workplace’ and ‘Culture in Organisations’. Felicity also carries out group consultancy at AMBS – analysing the significance of role with small and intensive work groups.
Felicity uses ethnography to explore the immersive aspects of life in organisations as part of her PhD thesis. She is particularly interested in ‘Cyborgs’ – socio-technological networks of relation and cultures within organisations. She is currently completing an ethnography at the strategic Technology Centre for a large global bank. She has also worked ethnographically with a UK arts and technology organisation.
Felicity is part of the Manchester Ethnography Network. The Network aims to develop a distinctive ‘Manchester School’ approach to the ethnographic study of organisations, based on the cutting edge work being developed at Alliance Manchester Business School in this area.
